Live-in care
A carer living in the home, two weeks at a time, for people who need someone near day and night.
Someone in the house, day and night
A live-in carer moves into a spare room for two weeks, then hands over to a second carer you have already met. They help through the day, sleep in the house at night and can get up once or twice if needed (sample).
It is often chosen instead of a move into a care home, so a couple can stay together or a pet can stay at home.
What you need
A spare bedroom for the carer and somewhere for them to keep food.
Breaks
Two hours off each day; a visiting carer covers the gap.
Price
From $1,450 a week (example prices), depending on the help needed at night.

Every care week starts empty
A care coordinator visits you at home, free of charge, to talk through the day and plan the visits with you. There is nothing to sign at the assessment.
Your week, before the assessment
At the home assessment we fill it in with you: which days, which times, how long.
