We make a photo editor that shows its working
Fixer Labs (sample) is nine people in Springfield. We started Fixer because one-tap filters never told us what they had done to the photo.

Started with one backlit photo
The first version had one tool: a tone curve with a strip of tones under it, written to rescue a sunset photo with two dark faces in it (sample). It is still the heart of the app.
We are paid by the people who use Fixer and nobody else: no adverts, and photos are never used to train anything.
Why we show the curve
A filter name tells you nothing; a curve tells you everything. Above the dashed line the photo gets brighter, below it darker, and the steeper the curve, the more contrast. Once you can read it, you can fix any photo.
- The strip under the curve runs from black on the left to white on the right
- Red at the edge means those tones are pure white or pure black
- Every look in the app is a curve you can open and change
