A repair counter on Kettle Lane
Kettle Lane Repairs (sample) has fixed Springfield’s phones and computers since 2012. The person at the counter is one of the people at the bench.

Started with one bench and a box of screens
Hana Iwu opened the shop in a former key cutter’s on Kettle Lane, fixing cracked screens on a single bench (sample). Today four benches and six people repair around a hundred devices a week.
We check for free, price before we start and give back the old part. Most of our customers come because a neighbour sent them.
What is on the bench
Each bench has the tools a manufacturer’s own repair centre would use, so a repair does not stop at the part that is easy to reach.
- Anti-static mats and wrist straps at every bench
- Stereo microscope and hot-air station for board repair
- Battery, screen and charging testers
- Ultrasonic cleaner for water-damaged boards
