A small consultancy for one big question
Where should your company stand in its market? Open Ground Strategy (sample) has four senior strategists and answers that question for companies with 10 to 500 staff.

Why we started
We spent fifteen years inside agencies, writing campaigns for companies that had never decided what they stood for. The campaigns were fine; the brief was the problem (sample).
So we work one step earlier. Before anyone designs an advert, we find out where customers place you, where the open ground is and whether you can credibly stand there.
How we work
Four rules we keep on every project, whatever the size of the company.
Customers decide where you stand
We plot positions from what buyers say in interviews and surveys, never from what the leadership team hopes.
One position, written down
You leave with one sentence your whole company can repeat, not a deck of options.
Senior people do the work
The two strategists on the first call run the interviews, the workshop and the plan.
We say when we are not the answer
If the problem is the product, the price or the sales team, we tell you in the first call.
