Field scientists who write plain reports
Marlbank Environmental (sample) is a practice of nine in Springfield: geologists, an ecologist team and a permits specialist who share one office and one field van.

Started with one borehole rig
The practice began in 2009 with a small rig, a van and the brownfield sites of the old mill towns (sample). Ecology joined in 2014, when more of our clients’ sites needed both.
We still log every hole ourselves and write every report in-house, so the person who saw the ground is the person who signs the report.
How we work
The habits that keep a report quick to read and easy for the council to accept.
Findings first
Every report opens with one page: what we found, what it means, what to do next.
Guidance
We follow the national guidance for land contamination and for ecology surveys, and say which one in the report.
Labs
Samples go to an accredited lab and the certificates are attached in full (sample).
Honest scope
If a desk study shows a clean site, we say so and stop there.
One contact
One named person runs your site from the quote to the sign-off.
Who you will meet on site
Nine people, six of them in the field most weeks (sample).

Tell us about your site
