Radio interviews are short and live, so practise the questions you would rather not hear (sample briefing).
Why now? What does it cost? Who is to blame? What do you say to people who are angry? What happens next? Answer each one out loud, in under thirty seconds, and end on your roof message.
Record yourself on a phone and listen back. You will hear the filler words long before a listener does.
