Before you travel, open the card settings and switch on payments abroad. Doing it before you leave saves a declined payment at the airport.
Check your plan’s fee for payments abroad on the Plans page. When a machine offers to charge you in dollars, choose the local money instead: the card network’s rate is usually the fairer one.
