Around day four the tattoo starts to peel like a mild sunburn, and it itches. This is normal and means it is healing.
Do not pick, peel or scratch. Tap it gently, keep a thin layer of cream on it and wear loose clothes over it.
If it turns hot, swollen and more painful after the first few days, call your doctor; then let us know so we can help.
