A sportswear shop on Quarry Road
Quarry Road Sports (sample) has sold running, gym and outdoor kit from the same corner shop since 2011, with a treadmill for shoe fittings and a printing table in the back.
Our story
The shop opened with a wall of running shoes and a treadmill borrowed from a gym that was closing down. Runners came in for shoes and asked what to wear in the cold; walkers came in for boots and asked the same (sample).
So we started answering in degrees, and the chart by the till grew into the way we sell everything: what it is for, the temperatures it works in, and the price.
We run in it before we sell it
Every jacket, top and pair of tights on the chart has been out in the weather with one of us first. If it is wrong for the temperature on its label, it does not go on the shelf.
