A furniture shop on Wharf Lane
Wharf Lane Furniture (sample) has sold sofas, tables and beds from an old timber store by the canal since 2004.
Our story
The shop started with a few reclaimed oak tables and a squared pad on the counter. The pad is still there: before anyone orders a sofa, we draw the room (sample).
We sell fewer pieces than a big store, from makers we visit, and we keep most of them in stock in the yard behind the showroom.
Sit on it, measure it, then decide
Every piece in the collection is on the showroom floor, so you can sit on the sofa and open the drawers before you buy.
- Sizes in centimetres on every label, with the door each piece needs
- Free room planning at the desk, with or without an appointment
- Fabric samples posted free, up to five at a time
- No commission on the shop floor, so nobody pushes the bigger sofa

The showroom is open six days a week, with a late night on Thursdays. Bring the size of your room.
