A small outfitter in the Halvorsen Range
Cedar Fork Outfitters (sample) has guided hunters in the same four units since 1994: one camp, a handful of guides and a string of horses.

One camp, the same country every year
We started with two horses and a borrowed tent (sample). Today we take about forty hunters a season, never more than six in camp at a time.
Small numbers mean quiet country, guides who know every ridge, and time to teach first-timers properly.

How we hunt
A few rules every guest and guide agrees to before the first morning.
Fair chase
On foot or horseback, on open land, with no baiting and no high fences.
Safety first
Blaze orange on firearm hunts, unloaded on horseback, and a guide who can call off a day.
Leave no trace
We pack out everything we pack in and rest each basin for a season in turn.
Nothing wasted
Every animal taken is packed out the same day and goes to a licensed processor.
