A family hotel on Larkspur Bay
Larkspur Bay Hotel (sample) is one house, 22 rooms and a garden that runs down to the dunes, run by the same family for three generations.

A captain's house that took in guests
The house was built in 1908 for a harbour master who liked a view (sample). His daughter let the top rooms to summer visitors, and by 1960 the whole house was a hotel.
We still keep a key board behind the desk, one hook per room. Guests who come back every year ask for their number, and most of the time we can give it to them.
The people at the desk
The front desk is open day and night. These are the people you will meet, and the ones who keep the house running.

Looking after the bay
The dunes and the beach are why people come here. This is what the hotel does to keep them as they are.
- Heat for the pool and the showers from a ground-source pump (sample)
- Vegetables and herbs from our own walled garden
- Fish bought from the two boats in the harbour
- Towels changed when you ask, not every day
- A part of every stay goes to the dune path and the fences that protect it (sample)
Ask about your dates
Send a stay enquiry or call the front desk. We reply within a few hours with the rooms free on your dates and the price for your stay (sample).
