How to read a save slot
No scores out of ten. A slot tells you what a score hides: how much of the game the verdict is based on.
Play time
Hours and minutes on the reviewer’s save when the review was written.
Completion
Ten cells, one for every tenth of the game the save file says is done.
Credits
Whether we saw an ending. If not, the slot says where we stopped.
Verdict
Play it now, Wait for a patch or a sale, or Skip it. Nothing in between.
Questions about our reviews
Why no scores out of ten?
A 7 means something different to everyone. Play time, completion and a verdict in words tell you whether a game fits your evenings.
Do you finish every game?
We try to see the credits. When a game is endless or we stop early, the slot says where we stopped and the review explains why.
Who pays for the games?
We buy most of them. When a publisher sends a code, the review says so in its first paragraph.
Do you update reviews?
Yes. When a patch fixes or breaks something big, the reviewer plays again and the slot shows the new play time and, if needed, a new verdict.
Know something we should?
Leaks we can confirm, studio news, a bug that breaks a game: write to the newsroom. We protect our sources.
