A small studio that listens to birds
Songlark Labs (sample) makes one app, from a room above a bike shop in Springfield. We started it because we kept hearing birds we could not name.

From a weekend project to 60,000 listeners
Ada Mensah wrote the first version on weekends in 2021, to settle arguments on morning walks (sample). Friends asked for it, then their friends.
Today six people build Songlark, and the free app pays for itself through Plus. There are no adverts and no investors asking us to add them.
