A public sauna by the lake
Kivi Sauna House (sample) is a small, independent sauna in an old boathouse: three saunas, a garden, a jetty and a team of six.

Heat, cold and quiet
The house opened in a boathouse on Stillwater Lake with one wood-fired sauna and a ladder into the water (sample). Today there are three saunas, a garden tub and a quiet room under the roof.
We keep it simple: hot rooms, cold water, somewhere to rest and nothing that rushes you. The stoves are lit at seven every morning so the benches are warm through by opening time.
House rules, in short
Six rules keep the saunas calm and clean for everyone.
- Shower before your first round and after the plunge
- Always sit or lie on a towel
- Keep voices low; the quiet room is silent
- No phones or cameras beyond the lockers
- Pour water on the stones only during your own round, and ask the bench first
- Leave the heat when you want; tell a host if you feel unwell
The people at the house
Sauna hosts light the stoves, run the infusions and look after the rooms. Therapists give the treatments.
