A club under a railway arch
Arch 14 (sample) has been open since 2011 in one long brick arch on Viaduct Yard: one room, one bar, local residents and a guest most weekends.

Built for dancing, not for being seen
The arch was a tyre workshop until 2010. Three DJs rented it for a single party, and never gave the keys back (sample).
There is no VIP room and no dress code beyond what you can dance in. The best spot in the house is in front of the booth, and it is free.
How a night is built
Every night here follows the same arc. It is why the warm-up matters as much as the guest.
From doors
Warm-up
Slower records while the room fills. The warm-up DJ plays to the bar as much as the floor.
Middle of the night
Peak time
The fastest, fullest hour and a half, usually the guest. The room is at its loudest.
Last hour
Bringing it home
The tempo comes down, the lights come up slowly, and the last record is never a surprise to the staff.
Look after each other
The welfare team wears high-visibility armbands and walks the room all night. Find them, or ask any member of staff, if you or a friend need help.
- Free tap water at the bar and by the toilets, all night
- Free ear plugs at the bar and the cloakroom
- A quiet room by the cloakroom, with seats and water
- Zero tolerance for harassment: tell any staff member and we act
The people behind the door
A small team runs the club, most of them from the first party in 2011 (sample).
